I received this novella as a galley to review, and read it a few weeks ago. I did remember what it was about, but decided to take a look at it’s Amazon page for the description. The first line reads: “The first in a series of erotic novellas, featuring different women whose lives are changed by Ramon Mendez, a handsome, charismatic lover.” Which tells you right there that Ramon Mendez is a figure passing through the life of the main character of the story, Grace Kingston. Grace is a university researcher and is assigned to supervise Ramon’s research on contemporary female eroticism and sexuality. She doesn’t want to do it but is told she has to. Their viewpoints clash on the subject in theory, but they find themselves compatible in practice. Ramon helps Grace to open up to her true self and see where her future may lie. This book, being a novella, is a quick read, and I did enjoy it. I think I will read the next novella in the series to see who Ramon helps next.
