The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson

The second book of the trilogy started off at a much better pace than The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  In this book, we are immediately thrown into the midst of the story without the long build-up of the previous novel.  I have to say I enjoyed this one even more than the first.  Many of the characters from the first book play a large role in this story, which takes place shortly after the end of the first book.  We catch up with Lisbeth and Mikael and then three murders take place.  Lisbeth is the main suspect and a nation-wide manhunt begins for the elusive hacker.  She goes underground and must face issues from her past, with Mikael’s help, to try to solve these murders.  With the police and the real killers after her, it is a race to see who will find her and if she will survive being found.  I immediately downloaded the third book in the trilogy to my Kindle and am looking forward to it being my vacation read as soon as I finish this month’s book club selection.  As usual, so many books, so little time!
